Brenda
- Lee has been involved in music since she was knee - high to
a grasshopper. Playing in top 40 bands through the 80's and
90's, she worked through-out Queensland and NSW, supporting
some of Australias biggest touring acts such as The Divinyls,
Richard Clapton, Mondo Rock, The Cockroaches, English pop group,
The Trogs and many more.
Into the
90's Brenda-Lee searched for her niche and discovered through
a love of songwriting that she was writing country music.
She then pursued a path in Country, with a move to Tamworth
NSW, from The Sunshine Coast in QLD.
Brenda
- Lee was a Starmaker Finalist in 1994, a Gympie Muster grand
Finalist in ‘95 and took out the 1999 “Tiara”
for songwriting. She has written chart successes for Shaza
Leigh, a song called “Woman at the Wheel” made
a #9 on the national
country charts and the Spencer Band had a #16 with She’ll
Be Ok in ‘99. She has shared the stage with artists
such as Ross Wilson, Alan Caswell, Brent Parlane, John Wibberly,
Lawrie Minson and Bill Chambers.
Currently
Brenda - Lee has 3 songs on Bobby Cash’s new album,
a song recorded by Gemma Luxton Starmaker finalist 2004 “These
are the Days” and a couple of other exciting works in
progress.
Brenda-Lee
has lived in Tamworth for the past 7 years, in duos and the
like, the last of which was the ever popular duo “Oak
ST” featuring Kevin Spencer, which toured North West
NSW for the past two and a half years. Brenda-Lee has been
working solo for the past 8 months and travelling the north
west on a circuit provided by Vee Entertainment.
