What
is Bar Trivia?
Bar
Trivia is an exciting new very low-cost
promotion designed for venues to increase
bar sales during “slow periods”.
What equipment is needed?
Bar
Trivia is delivered to you in a box which
becomes your “competition barrel”. Inside
the box you will find everything you need
to run the game:
1.
Posters. You can write details of days and
times when you will run the game.
2.
Entry Forms. Every time you purchase a box
you will receive 20 “sets” of Trivia forms.
Each “set” has 100 forms plus one “answer
sheet”.
3. Instructions. You will find
a page explaining how the promotion works,
how to announce the start and finish, what
prize/s are on offer and many other hints
and tips to make the promotion successful
and profitable.
When
should Bar Trivia be run?
That
is entirely up to you. You are the only
person who knows when your bar sales could
do with a “boost”. You may choose to run
Bar Trivia once a week for one hour on,
say a Wednesday night at 5.30pm, or you
may choose to run it every day!
What
does it cost?
You
purchase the game in blocks of twenty sets
for $350.00 + GST (Cost includes delivery).
Therefore it will cost you only $17.50 plus
GST every time you run the game! You will
also need to decide on what your prize will
be – the most obvious is a carton of beer.
It is likely that running one game would
have a total cost of less than $50.00 making
it probably the most cost-effective promotion
you will ever run!
How
does it work?
Let’s
suppose you’ve decided to run Question Set
number 1 on Wednesday at 5.30pm. You make
an announcement (either over your public
address system or across the bar in small
venues) telling your patrons that, for the
next hour, every time they buy a drink at
the bar they will receive a Bar Trivia entry
form that has ten questions with multiple
choice answers. Every time they buy a drink
they get a new form – the more they buy
– the more chances they get! They then place
their completed entry forms in the box.
Assuming
you’ve decided to run the game for one hour,
at 6.30pm you start drawing forms from the
box until you get to the first one that
matches the answer sheet 100% and award
your prize!
What happens if it’s busy
and I run out of entry forms?
We
supply 100 entry forms for each of the 20
games. After the first 15 minutes, work
out how many forms you have used. If you
have used more than a quarter of them you
will need to put two forms (they are “A5”
size) side by side on a photocopier and
copy as many as you need. If you think you
will need more than 100 forms on a regular
basis, you can either photocopy additional
copies in advance or we can supply additional
packs of 100 forms for $5.50 per pack.
How
many question sets are there?
We
currently have more than 14,000 tried and
proven questions with more being added every
day. That’s enough questions to run the
game five times a week for five years!
We
keep a record of what Question Number Sets
you have used and, when you re-order, we
send you a complete new box for another
twenty games. This has the added advantage
of allowing you to throw away the old “entry
barrel” so that the equipment always looks
fresh and new.
Are
the questions hard?
No.
Questions are carefully structured to make
sure that they are not so easy as to insult
people’s intelligence but to also offer
a challenge and to stimulate conversation.
Aside from that, we want to make sure that
you won’t have to draw too many forms from
the barrel to find a 100% correct entry!
(If that did happen, you would award the
prize to the entry with the most correct
answers).
What
do I need to do now to get started?
Complete
the attached form and post it to us along
with a cheque for $385.00 made payable to:

Is
there a complete TRIVIA NIGHT available?
Yes!
Bar Trivia is a derivative of “ExTRIVIAganza”
- a complete 3 hour Trivia Show and is available
to all venues on either a full-time or casual
basis. We supply everything including a
personality compere, an assistant, all sound
equipment, question sheets, team sheets,
etc.
All
you supply are the players and the prizes.

SPECIAL GAMES
From time to time you will
be offered “special games” that run using
the same equipment. These games are designed
to coincide with current events such as,
“Rugby Union World Cup”, “Melbourne Cup”,
“The Olympics” and many more.
TRIVIA NIGHTS
It’s possible that you may
already be running regular Trivia Nights.
Bar Trivia is a great way to stimulate interest
in these nights and should not replace them.
If, however, you do not run Trivia Nights,
you may find a need to start them up after
running Bar Trivia for several weeks.
Bar Trivia also supplies regular Trivia
Night packs where you use your own staff.
