The Basics
NOT
long before their breakup, The Beatles made an attempt to return
to their roots, to a feeling they felt they had lost and a place
they had once belonged. In effect, their aim was to GET BACK
to the basics of the rock’n’roll. As we know too
well, not even The Beatles could harness the fluidity of music
as it moved in another direction.
NEARLY 35 years later, The Basics take up where The Beatles left off and continue in pursuit
of the emotion and attitude of rock’n’roll lost
for so many years. THEIR sound, though raw and powerful, is equally
considered and refined. Their spirit harks back to a day when
R’n’B meant Rhythm and Blues, and Rhythm and Blues
meant Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and the
Rolling Stones.
THE Basics record you hold
in your hand is a live record – three guys really nailing
it, on the spot. No studio tricks. No artificial sweetening.
Bass, drums, guitar and vocals ringing together as the sun
rises on a new musical horizon.
The
tables have turned – rock’n’roll has come
full circle. So keep up with The Basics and GET BACK to where
rhythm and blues once belonged.
